Jennifer L. Crane, PhD

Senior Associate

Jennifer received her Ph.D. in applied developmental psychology from George Mason University in 2010. She has extensive experience managing complex data for civil rights litigation as well as evaluating and validating tests and assessments for employment and litigation. During her doctoral education she specialized in early childhood special education, school readiness, special education policy, and developmental disabilities. She managed data and conducted statistical analyses in a large and complex project working with multiple stakeholders to improve early intervention programs in subsidized childcare. For the past 15 years she worked in the Civil Rights Division (CRT) of the US Department of Justice conducting statistical analyses and research around discrimination in employment, educational opportunities, disability rights, and immigration. In this position she worked with a large range of data from testing companies, human resources departments and state agencies. Jennifer has published in Exceptional Children, Early Education and Development and The Journal of Disability Policy Studies. She brings over 20 years of experience leading and designing qualitative and quantitative analyses and communicating results and methods to audiences with little or no knowledge of social science or statistics.
